Pair of antique amphoras / pitchers made around the mid-nineteenth century entirely of patinated bronze. A stone base with a platform on which amphoras are mounted. The amphoras themselves are stylized as large wine pitchers decorated with full-figured figures of a motological Deity, a Faun symbolizing the god of fertility shown with a head resting on a chest reminiscent of a thoughtful thinker. Faun hands around the upper part of the amphora, holding in his hands the twisted corners of the mouflon, which adorns the pitcher's belly. Bronze made with the greatest artistry, masterfully, very meticulously refined technique. The decoration is complemented by wine flagella, full of fruit. The amphoras are very large, heavy and stately. Height 47 cm, width 22 cm.
