In April 2020, the first museum exhibition of this Franch-American artist, feminist and activist will take place at the MoMA. Saint-Phalle's interdisciplinary approach will be demonstrated through over a hundred works. From the late 60s, Saint-Phalle began to create sculptures on a large scale, which led to the extension of her practice to architectural designs, sculptures, gardens, books, graphics, films, theater sets, clothes, jewelry and perfumes. Addressing issues related to women's rights to climate change and HIV / AIDS awareness, Saint Phalle has often been an avant-garde in solving social and political problems of her time.
